We would like to take this opportunity to thank Booths Supermarkets for their continued support over the past two years. Booths have been kindly allowing Caritas Care to promote their Adoption service at their stores since autumn 2014; this has enabled people who are interested in Adoption to gain information and advice in an informal and friendly setting. It has also helped us to raise awareness about Adoption and talk about the many options available to prospective adopters.

Since February 2015 Caritas Care’s hub has been present at 18 stores. We are extremely grateful to all the management teams and staff at each store who have been nothing but supportive and accommodating throughout. We now visit Burscough, Clitheroe, Longton, Lytham, Kirby Lonsdale, Penrith, Ripon and Settle stores regularly and people are now becoming familiar with our staff and recognising our hub.

Some facts…

Throughout the year we have driven over 3000 miles to Booths stores allowing many tens of thousands of people to see us and to note our contact details.

Over 300 people have visited the hub and had a conversation with us taking advice and information and in the region of 60 people have taken our Adoption or Fostering information packs away to study.

Finally and most importantly is that 4 couples, who visited our hub at a Booths store, are going through the adoption process and will be soon approved as adopters. We are delighted that, as a direct result of this partnership, we will be providing more children with loving and stable homes.
