Fostering
Building on the our reputation for good practice in the field of childcare, Caritas Care developed its Foster Care Service in 1998, to operate alongside its adoption and residential services.
We are looking for foster carers throughout the Lancashire area, for children of all ages, from babies to teenagers.
Our committed and skilled staff team provides high levels of support to our foster carers, to help them to care for children who are unable to live with their birth families, whether for a short time or throughout their childhood.
Many of the children referred to us for foster placement are 'difficult' to place. They may have complex emotional problems, or have a physical or learning disability. Children like this need foster carers who have the time, space and experience to care for them.
We are looking for people who have a strong commitment to helping children and young people, and who can draw on their own personal or working life experiences of helping young people in need. For people such as this, fosterin g can be a 'career' choice, and a real alternative to working outside of the home.
Are you looking for a challenging, but rewarding experience? Have you got patience, commitment, and enjoy caring for children? If you have these qualities, and are interested in learning more about becoming a foster carer, you can write, telephone or e-mail us at foster@caritascare.org.uk
