Vision in People Project

The VIP (Vision in People) Project creates a safe and fully accessible environment which encourages learning and growth for people with a learning disability who use the service.

Based in Preston, VIP offers two well-equipped resource rooms, outdoor garden area and fully accessible vehicles for getting out and about in the community.

Through intense interaction and gentle teaching techniques we aim to develop communication skills, increase confidence and raise the hopes of each individual attending the project. VIP supports individuals to work towards qualifications and offers supported employment and volunteering opportunities.

VIP offers a variety of activities in the local community such as:

  • Healthy walks (active lifestyles)
  • Exercise (with visits to the local fitness centre)
  • Trampolining
  • Ten pin bowling
  • Swimming
  • Art and craft projects
  • Visits to libraries, museums and exhibitions
  • Outings to places of interest
  • Visits to markets, cafés, pubs, local shops and to meet up regularly with friends
  • Education opportunities
  • Volunteering opportunities

We regularly seek the views and interests of the people who come to the project to ensure that we offer a full range of activities. VIP has links with organisations that offer opportunities and amenities such as:
