Vision in People Project
The Vision in People (VIP) Project tries to create surroundings which encourage learning and growth for those learning disabled people who use its services. Through intense interaction and gentle teaching techniques, communication is developed, confidence is built up and the hopes of each individual are raised. Opportunities for qualifications are provided, as are the chances of supported employment and volunteering projects.
By means of two resource rooms, a sensory room, a computer room and indoor and outdoor garden space, all at Caritas Care’s Headquarters in Tulketh Road, further opportunities for personal development are created.
So, whether it is swimming at the Otters situated in Broughton, or trampolining at West View Leisure Centre, cycling at UCLAN Sports Arena, doing a Healthy Eating course and Stretch & Tone through Lancashire College, or doing a range of courses through Needs Partnership such as Person-Centred Planning, or a ‘Safe & Sound’ course for adults with a learning disability, or even Drama or Pottery, opportunities are being offered to individuals and to groups…providing a Vision….for VIPs...
