ACE Project wins contract to improve employment prospects of offenders

The ACE (Assisted Community Engagement) Project has been awarded a contract with Achieve North West to deliver Round 1 NOMS ‘Services to Improve the Employment Prospects of Offenders’.
Achieve North West is a consortium of the five North West Probation Trusts, led by Merseyside Probation Trust. Achieve North West sub-contracts with 23 different organisations across the region to offer a range of services including mentoring, training courses, volunteering opportunities, work placements and employment brokerage.
The ACE Project, which now has 6 years’ experience of supporting ex offenders, will offer 1:1 mentoring sessions and opportunities in volunteering and employment to develop skill and experience levels and improve employment prospects. Opportunities will also be sourced in education and training.
