Caritas Care, formerly known as Catholic Caring Services, officially revealed its new name and logo at a ceremony held at its Tulketh Road headquarters for its 75th anniversary year.

Sixty staff, trustees, volunteers and service users attended the launch event at Caritas Care, which was founded in 1934 and is now one of the longest-established independent charities in the North West.

Jim Cullen, Chief Executive of Caritas Care, said, "We are delighted to officially launch our new name and logo as part of our 75th anniversary celebrations.  Caritas Care is still the same charity doing exactly the same work with a fresh name and image to take us forward for the next 75 years. The new name and look of Caritas Care is an affirmation of our work and a confident statement of our commitment to those we are here to support." Caritas Care operates across the North West region from 16 sites in Lancashire, Cumbria and Greater Manchester.

It provides a wide range of services, including adoption and foster care, residential and day care for children, services for people with learning disabilities including day care and supported living, services for people with sensory impairment and community projects.
