The Caritas Care store has enjoyed an encouraging first week of sales after opening to the public in Blackpool Road, Preston.

People with learning disabilities are among those being offered work experience at the store, which offers 'high quality second-hand goods.' Martin Layton, from Caritas Care's Disability Services, said, "Caritas Care launched its first charity shop in Preston 18 years ago and it has proved a great success. We've seen increasing demand for second-hand clothes and the amount of stock being donated to us meant it was time to open a second shop in Preston. We need to recruit seven volunteers."

Please call Caritas Care on 01772 732313. Volunteers are being asked to come forward to help a new charity shop.
