We Aimed High …and were successful in our bid!
27th July 2010
We were delighted with the success of our bid to secure 1 year’s funding from Lancashire County Council’s Aiming High for Disabled Children fund to provide ‘short break’ activity sessions for disabled children and their parents/carers in Preston, which commenced in April this year.
We are holding two monthly groups:
Wiiz Kids at Bannister House Preston offers IT, computing and gaming activities to children and young people with disabilities aged 8-18 years.
Chill Out Zone – Parents’ Support Group at Tulketh Rd, Preston offers activities for children with disabilities aged 8-18 years; and an opportunity for their parents/carers to get together, relax and share their views. Parent sessions will include speakers, quiz nights and additional activities chosen by the parents themselves.
