Sarah and Andrew agree, ‘fostering allows you to see the world through younger eyes.’
Sarah added, ‘even though we decided to foster when we were younger, we also respect that older foster carer do a great job.’ ‘Each person who fosters have unique skills with children and offer different things; this is so important because foster children need foster carers who are relatable.’
‘However, today’s world is very different from the world we grew up in. The pressure on young people today is immense, and in very different ways.’
‘When we were younger, it was expected that you went to school, worked hard, and retired; in today’s world, it doesn’t have to be like that.’
‘Today, you can have a better quality of life, but only if the fundamental basics of life are consistent. Children need a stable and happy home with a family who loves them and where they feel they belong.’
