Located on Port Haverigg Marina Park
The holiday park sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty and boasts a 200 acre freshwater private lake with access to a stunning beach that stretches for miles.
The area is a haven for wildlife with the RSPB Nature Reserve on the doorstep. Wading birds such as ringed plovers, sand warblers, red shanks and oystercatchers can be seen regularly feeding on the sands and the lake.
Our fully equipped caravan is in an enviable location right by the side of the lake at the quieter end of the holiday park. Days can be spent whiling away the hours in the stunning local area or travelling to the many tourist locations within a comfortable driving distance.
Evenings can be spent on the decking enjoying the sun go down with a glass of your favorite tipple or with your feet up watching a DVD after a long day exploring.
The site has a pub and the only Wake Park in Cumbria. There is a beautiful walk right around the lake and within minutes you can be on the beach.
You will find the town of Millom just 2 miles away for shopping (there’s a large Tesco and some lovely gift shops), banks, Gym, eating out, several Chemists, Charity shops, a Vets, a launderette, a theatre, the train station and many other things.
The nearby village of Haverigg is just a short walk away and has a convenience store and several pubs as well as a beach café and children’s play area.
It is the perfect area to take it at your own pace. You can fill your days with sightseeing, fun activities, water sports, walking and full days out but you can also relax, take it easy, stroll around the lake or spend the day on the beautiful beaches within a comfortable walking distance.
All in all, there’s everything you could need.
