In September 1996, the charity changed its name to Catholic Caring Services (Diocese of Lancaster) Limited, reflecting its broader mission to support more people in need.
Around the same time, the REACT Project launched at Ribblebank Day Centre in Preston to support people with learning disabilities. It was built on the belief that people with lived experience are the real experts. REACT made a big difference, helping individuals get involved in their communities and lead meaningful lives. In 2001, it became part of Caritas Care.
