The Charity’s work supporting older adults with hearing loss began with two small volunteer projects in Cumbria, based on the West Coast and in Carlisle. These projects grew into the Bridging the Gap project, which helped thousands of older people across the Diocese.

By 2017, mainstream audiology services became widely available on the High Street, meaning our support was no longer needed in the same way. With its mission successfully completed, the project came to a close.
