The COVID pandemic brought significant challenges, but Caritas Care adapted quickly. While some services were paused during lockdown, teams worked closely with local and national government to furlough staff and maintain essential support. The use of modern technology kept adoption and fostering services running remotely, following social distancing guidelines. Although day services were reduced, the Charity’s outreach support continued and the Community Centre remained open for its weekly food bank. Most of the central staff worked from home. After lockdown, services resumed swiftly. The Charity embraced hybrid working, using tools like TEAMS and flexible schedules to restore services to pre-pandemic levels.
