Caritas Care provides care and assistance for single homeless people aged 18-65 who have a connection with the Blackpool area. It aims to provide a supportive friendly and constructive environment, and to encourage residents to deal with any issues they may have, and to support them into secure accommodation when they leave.

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Project Manager who will lead from the front and not be afraid to roll their sleeves up and muck in!  You will promote a positive culture within Vincent House and ensure that the hostel is effectively staffed and resourced.  The manager will be required to maximise income levels, monitor rent and service charge payments.  An understanding of the benefit system and housing benefit would be advantageous.  You will be required to submit reports to the board and local commissioners and delegate duties and responsibilities as necessary across the team.  Experience of providing supervision and appraisals for the staff team would be beneficial.  You will also act as the health and safety lead within the scheme to ensure a safe atmosphere for staff and residents to work and live within.  Experience of applying for funding would also be desirable.

Due to the nature of the scheme, and it being staffed 24 hours a day, you will be required to work flexibly and to cover shifts when needed, including evenings, weekends and overnight.  A driving licence and access to a car is essential, as you will be required to travel to Preston for managers’ meetings and other charity business.

We do not hold a sponsorship licence and can only consider applications from candidates who are legally entitled to work in the UK.  If you do not have the right to work in the UK, your application will not progress.
